Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and be 18 years of age or older with clean driving record. Interest to develop skills in relating to children, parents and staff in a positive manner.Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:1.Check the bus each day for safety and maintenance2.Transport children to and from school safely3.Insure that all children are buckled into safety seats before proceeding on bus route4.Enforce bus policies and rules with adults and children which are given to SIT families5.Willingness to be trained in First Aid and CPR/Choking6.Complete other duties as assigned by supervisorWork Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift twenty (20) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.Terms of Employment: Ten (10) months, August-JuneSplit Hours: 6:30am-9:00am, 2:30pm – 5:00pmEvaluation: Job performance will be evaluated by the Supervisor.
