Job Description

VIA Metropolitan Transit, in San Antonio, is hiring an Accessible Services Administrator. This position is responsible for administration of the ADA Complementary Paratransit eligibility determination process, to include the supervision of professional staff engaged in the review and assessment of applicants for VIAtrans service and the Reduced Fare program.


Also participates in the evaluation of requests for reconsideration of eligibility determinations. Improves and maintains contacts in the local medical, mental health and human service fields and the local disability community. Develops and directs the VIA travel training program and implements the VIAtrans Late Cancellation/No Show Policy. Assists in the review of service delivery policies, procedures, and new initiatives. Creates and distributes statistical and narrative reports.


Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Public Administration or a health-related field; two (2) years of public transportation service planning or ADA policy experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
