Overview

VIA Metropolitan Transit, in San Antonio, is hiring a Manager of ADA and Accessible Services. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the ADA and Accessible Services Department. Also directs the ADA paratransit eligibility determination process and related activities, identifies federal, state and local statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to transit service for persons with disabilities. Prepares plans, policies and procedures for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and works cooperatively with VIA departments to assure that plans are implemented, and policies and procedures are followed. Collects, interprets and reports data relative to compliance goals and milestones. Collaborates in the development and analyses of service options and opportunities for persons with disabilities and related populations. Participates in the development of agendas and presentations for internal and public VIA meetings concerning transit services for persons with disabilities and related populations. Bachelor’s degree: and three years of experience with programs or services targeted to persons who are disabled, two years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination.
