Overview

Salary                  $45,000 – $85,000

Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and general oversight of marketing and community development functions, including advertising, public outreach, internal and external communications, brand management, service planning and contracts, bus advertising sales, grant writing and reporting, customer service, transit amenities, ADA, Civil Rights, and 5310 administrator.

Responsibilities

1. Manage implementation of communications, advertising, media, and public relations to drive transit ridership and awareness and promote riding transit.
2. Ensures overall brand consistency internally and externally.
3. Manage internal and external communications including, crisis and service disruption communication, media releases, newsletters, advertisement, and promotions.
4. Manage internal communication strategies, programs and activities including safety training.
5. Manage community engagement and events and marketing materials, production of printed materials.
6. Manage the content and updates to Citilink website and social medial sites including Facebook Twitter and Instagram accounts.
7. Manages two employees, Outreach Coordinator/Travel Trainer and Transit Analyst.
8. Work with controller and Marketing Committee in regard to development and maintenance of the annual marketing plan and budget.
9. Manage public involvement initiatives.
10. Attend various meetings for marketing and community outreach.
11. Manage bus advertisement program in accordance with the adopted Citilink Advertising policy.
12. Procure and proactively manage contracts for services related to marketing and community development activities.
13. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, clients, community stakeholders, government officials, elected officials, and the media.
14. Manage marketing data and prepare reports to be presented to the Citilink Board of Directors.
15. Applies and complies with all applicable State and Federal regulations.
16. ADA/Civil Right Administrator for the organization and assures department compliance with federal ADA/ Civil Right and procurement regulations.
17. 5310 program administrator.
18. Represents Citilink on community boards and committees.
19. Grant writing and administration.
20. Manages long range, service, and strategic planning activities.
21. Staff liaison for Citilink Board of Directors subcommittees.
22. Assists with bus driver training in regard to ADA /Civil Rights regulations.
23. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented office environment.

    • Ability to stand and sit for periods of time and to move intermittently throughout the workday.
    • Ability to speak clearly.
    • Travel is required.
    • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
    • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; interpret instructions, and to work with little supervision.
    • Physical activity includes, but is not limited to: carrying, collating, feeling, grasping, handling, holding, fingering reports and other documents; filling and maintaining records and files; reaching above shoulders, reaching below waist, reaching waist to shoulder when using filing cabinets and shelves; repetitive motion of wrists, hands, arms and/or fingers when using computer and calculator; seeing computer screen and other documents; sitting at desk, talking and hearing when gathering information from co-workers; writing information on forms, talking and hearing on telephone.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks (including criminal). This is a non-sensitivity position.
    • Maintains a valid Indiana Driver’s License.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, the internet, web and graphic design, complex spreadsheets and databases and software programs.
    • Ability to operate office equipment, including copiers, fax machines and phones.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong listening skills.
    • Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak publicly and communicate to groups.
    • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks and time effectively with strong project management skills.
    • Able to motivate and influence others.
    • Should have a special sensitivity for the needs of the transit dependent, elderly, disabled and the ability to handle difficult people.
    • Should have problem solving skills.
