Overview

Procurement Manager has responsibility within delegated authority for procurement of goods and services on behalf of DTA, following established policies and procedures, Federal Transit Administration and State of Minnesota regulations. Additionally, the Procurement and Contract Manager establishes and oversees all third-party contracts and contracts with local, state and federal agencies.

Responsibilities                                

Establishes RFB, RFQ and RFP standards and prepares procurement documents to publicly solicit bids and contracts for the purchase and/or lease of materials and services, leads the review of proposals to determine the best offer, ensures procurement records are maintained and organized and all procurements are fully documented from origination through completion of purchase and receipt of goods and/or services.

Requirements                                  

  1. a) Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
    b) Minimum of two years’ experience in financial capacity.
    c) Possess strong working knowledge of procurement and contracting following state and Federal Government guidelines.
    d) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, in addition to being highly motivated and organized.
    e) Excellent oral and written communications skills plus proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    f) Experience in transportation or Public Transit preferred.
