The City and County of Honolulu is seeking an experienced Senior Multimodal Performance Analyst for the nation’s first driverless metro system.
This position is located in the Department of Transportation Services (DTS) and serves as the Chief of the Performance and Business Analysis Branch. The position manages the analysis of operations and maintenance data to provide in-depth analytical support and recommendations for operational decision-making. The position recommends and develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring; assesses performance trends and identify key areas for performance improvement; forecast resource requirements (including workforce, vehicles, equipment, materials, facilities, and technology) to meet future operations and maintenance program needs. The position is responsible for department level analysis of system design, business process, data, technology, and change management. Serve as team leader and expert in statistical analysis, database querying, report and tool development, and business process improvements for the department. Analyze, develop, prepare, produce, and provide oversight for the content, format, and production of operations and maintenance reporting, ad hoc queries, and data analysis for the DTS. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with Contractors. Demonstrate a commitment to safety that guides all aspects of work through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of the essential duties.
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, public administration, statistics, transportation, or a related field and five years of experience in performing operations and maintenance research and analysis, performance measurement, and business process improvement as a primary function, three of which must have been in a large public or private transportation organization.
