Opportunity for a motivated transit expert to guide transformative change in a rapidly growing transit system! Senior level position, applying industry best practice for mobility, equity and community engagement to redesign bus services around growing regional rail and bus rapid transit systems.
The Senior Transportation Service Planner will serve as project manager in the development of complex, multifaceted short- and long-range public transportation service plans within budget constraints, and according to best practice for performance-based planning, mobility, equity and community engagement, including oversight of program scope, strategies, studies and technical evaluation as well as administration of program budget, inter-jurisdictional agreements and consultant contracts. Considered a key adviser and subject matter expert on annual work program development and on approaches to program areas such as system planning, system research, decision support systems and interagency coordination.
Proactively and independently leads major projects. Supports and leads stakeholder engagement and outreach on transit service changes. Formulates new policy recommendations as needed and works with management to confirm direction.
