KL2 Connects LLC has been retained by the Town of Jackson to identify and present outstanding candidates for the Transit Director position at Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit. Nestled in the Jackson Hole Valley, at the dazzling intersection of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Jackson enjoys warm summers and cold winters. Its access to major skiing and hiking areas makes this small town a lively hub for outdoor activities in all seasons.

START operates year‐round service on six fixed public bus routes. While the intensity of the commuter, corridor, and circulator routes vary by season, ridership exceeds one million. START’s Transit Director provides professional oversight of all transit functions for the Town of Jackson and Teton County, departmental compliance, policy recommendations to elected and appointed board, and, in coordination with the Integrated Transportation Plan (ITP) lead, is involved in all stages of grant work and strategic planning. The Transit Director should hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, transportation planning, or a related field, plus five years of increasingly responsible, professional experience in the mass-transit field, including supervisory duties. A valid Class C driver’s license (CDL) with all required endorsements is preferred, along with a Passenger Service and Safety certification (PASS).
