Description

Seminole County is moving toward delivering innovative, cost-effective, rider-focused public transportation.  This includes a robust on-demand door-to-door public transit system in the form of mircro-transit.  


Micro-transit represents a modern, flexible approach that utilizes samller vehicles that delivers shared rides based on real time requests, not fixed routes or shedules.  
 
This exciting opportunity will oversee the County's micro-transit vendor to ensure the highest level of service delivery to Seminole County citizens, visitors, and businesses.
 
 

Essential Functions:

Manage and maintain an effective and efficient micro-transit system, maximizing available transit and partnership funding while monitoring and regulating established performance standards.

 

Researches, applies or coordinates application of, and obtains State and Federal grant funding for transit improvement projects including the preparation of applications, diagrams, and reports.

 

Monitor operations for grant, Federal, and State law and regulation compliance.

 

Provides contract administration oversight and management of micro-transit-related professional service contractors and consultants, monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to contract requirements. 

 

Conducts regular contract compliance, quality checks and audits, and prepares written reports. 

 

Participates in discussions and evaluations of proposals and interprets and implements County policies and objectives.

 

Coordinate with local organizations to create partnerships and manage ridership.

 

Conduct studies of micro-transit service, schedules, fares, operating hours, services, facilities, and recommend service changes as required.

 

Manage, coordinate and maintain all transit related plans.

 

Manage and coordinate any federal and state transit audits and reviews.

 

Attend and represent the county for regional transit related committees and working groups as assigned. 

 

Prepares financial analysis, budgets, and reports for the County’s transit system, including forecasting for costs associated with operations, capital improvements, staffing, equipment and/or supplies.

 

Create and regularly produce performance related reports and contract related presentations for internal and public use.

Monitor, review, investigate, and correct as needed the service provider’s customer service performance to maintain high standards for customer service interactions with passengers. 

 

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  

 

Prepare agenda items for presentations to the County Commission and write progress reports on projects when requested by other County agencies.

 

Monitors changes in regulations and technology that may affect operations; implements policy and procedural changes after approval.

 

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned staff, co-workers, employees from other departments and agencies, management, and members of the general public.

 

Responsible for various personnel matters including hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisal and related activities.

 

Other duties as assigned.

 

Salary88,150.23 - 135,000.00 Annual
